Gaiennie Lumber manufactures stacking sticks to your specifications. Our sticks are packaged in square units, just like lumber, therefore making it easier to handle and easy to count. We manufacture our sticks out of good, dry, hard hardwoods.
Choosing the right size stick to suit you is very important. Normal stick lengths are 4’, 6’, 7’ or 8’. However, we can make any length you might want and need. If your sticks need to be a couple of inches longer or shorter to fit in channel iron stick guides to insure proper alignment. We can make them to whatever the size happens to be.
If you want high air flow between your lumber, a thick stick may be required. If more kiln capacity is needed and air flow is not crucial, 7/8” or ¾” x 1 ¼ “ will do fine. To insure good, dry, straight lumber, our sticks are uniform in thickness, which is very important, as well an uniform width.
