Champagne’s Marche’ was born on Bayou Teche in 1926. Walter Champagne waited 2 full weeks before one customer entered his doorways, which started the beginning of a very prosperous business. After his death, his wife Alma and son, Howard Champagne, ran the store. In 1979, Howard and his wife Sarah decided to rebuild a more modern supermarket. In 1996, Richard Champagne and his wife Angela took over the business to continue the legacy into the third generation.
”Our business today would not be as successful as it is without the help of our wonderful employees. These ladies and gentlemen come to work ready to serve a wide variety of customers, with a smile on their face! Our staff makes shopping for you enjoyable and seem to be less of a chore. With a sincere thank you to our loyal customers, it is a pleasure to have you all as customers. People like you make our business possible and we truly appreciate your support.
Our philosophy is that if we can’t make a product better than what is currently on the market, then we will not make it at all. Therefore, you are guaranteed that any product you get from us here at Champagne’s Marche’ will be truly Cajun and Great Tasting!”
